Description

Position Summary

The Supervisor of Flight (SOF) oversees the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the flight training program at the assigned location. This position supports student success, ensures standardized training, mentors flight instructors, and promotes operational excellence across flight operations.


Responsibilities

• Manage daily flight training operations to ensure safe and efficient activity
• Assist clients and instructors with training and operational questions
• Monitor student progress to ensure high-quality, standardized training
• Collaborate with customer service and maintenance teams to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Conduct stage checks and student evaluations
• Mentor flight instructors and support professional development
• Conduct instructor indoctrination and performance evaluations
• Coordinate safe and efficient aircraft ground handling with maintenance personnel
• Perform duties as assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor


Requirements

• Valid FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate
• Valid FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) Certificate
• Demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations, flight training standards, and industry best practices
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to serve as an emergency contact and remain available by phone as needed
