I always wanted to fly and attended the USAF Academy. After graduation, I went to pilot training in Columbus MS and was assigned to the 21 TAS out of Clark AB in the Philippines to fly the C-130E/H. My next assignment was flying the c-21A out of Peterson AFB CO, where I upgraded to an Instructor Pilot which led to me transferring to Ramstein AB Germany as an instructor also in the C-21A. My final Assignment was to the 50 As in Little Rock AFB flying the C-130H3. I separated for family reasons. We moved to the St Louis area, and I flew for a charter operation and a part 91 company for seven years. While in Missouri, I joined the 954 RSS USAF Reserves at Scott AFB to work in USTRANSCOM. After five years, my wife’s job moved her to Dallas. I got hired by CAE as a USAF military instructor for recurrent training and a civilian Training Center Evaluator. I also transferred from the USAF Reserves to the LA ANG. Eventually I became the Director of Operations for the 122 ASOS and had two deployments to the Middle East working with the US Army coordinating airstrike in support of US and Coalition ground forces. I retired as a Lt Col in 2018. During my last deployment, I met some contract pilots who brought me into the contracting world fleeing ISR aircraft.
