Hello! My name is Logan Maxey, I am currently a flight instructor just outside of Columbus Ohio at a Part 61 flight school. I received all of my training at Sundowner Aviation, where I currently work, excluding the CMEL which was finalized at Jet Access. I have experience in three different multi engine aircraft, aerobatic experience, and over 500 dual given.

Diploma August 24, 2020 - May 24, 2024 Started taking collegiate classes my sophomore year for a degree but ended up taking flight school after receiving diploma full time instead to chase my end goal faster.

Sundowner Aviation October 15, 2025 - October 16, 2025 Was lucky enough to secure a CFI position at my flight school I received almost all of my training. Have focused training on good ADM and well rounded ground knowledge before each lesson.

Sundowner Aviation - Present Managed aircraft availability, assisted in maintenance coordination, and informed new upcoming students on the process of becoming a pilot.

Sun n Fun
April 15, 2026 Had the opportunity to fly a Cessna 182 from Columbus Ohio down to Sun n Fun in Florida. From this trip, I learned how fast weather can change, how complicated Florida’s airspace can get, and how to plan through both.
