I started flying in my 20’s. Unfortunately before I finished my CPL life threw me a curveball and I had to stop my training. After a 30 year career as a broadcast engineer I was given another chance in the form of a redundancy payout. 

I completed my CPL and renewed my multi-IFR. I was lucky enough to secure a position flying a PA31-325, but the company was under-capitalized and folded when the PA31 needed extensive work. After spending time unsuccessfully finding more financing I moved on. I did a combined turbine and jump pilot rating to expand my opportunities. I have had to put aside flying again for the time being to care for my mother. But I’m making lemons out of lemonade and am studying my ATPL while I am grounded.

Red River Aviation June 21, 2024 - March 4, 2024 Line pilot flying PA31-325 for Red River Aviation. Unfortunately the company folded in a short time due to under-capitalization.

1st Carter Op PA31-325
April 14, 2024 My first flight ICUS in a PA31-325, taking a couple from Bankstown to Cessnock for the day, departing Cessnock at sunset for the trip home. You really can see the turbos glowing at night.
First parachute drop run
September 15, 2025 First parachute drop run in a C208 with a TPE-331 engine south of Sydney. High workload, dealing with YSSY approach, making drop calls on multiple frequencies, getting the aircraft stable for the drop, then rolling over into the descent to get back on the ground for the next load ASAP.
