I’m a pilot with 700+ hours, currently working through ATPL theory with Austro Control as my competent authority, and moving from a career in technology leadership into professional flying. I hold dual certificates EASA and FAA.

For the past twenty years I led engineering organisations at Amazon, Superbet, and most recently as CPTO of a venture-backed product company called Fanvue. That work was built on the same things aviation runs on: checklists that actually get followed, honest reporting when something goes wrong, and calm decision-making when the picture is incomplete and the clock is running.

Flying stopped being a hobby somewhere around the point I bought a Piper Turbo Arrow III and started operating and maintaining it myself. Owning an aircraft teaches you things a rental never will, from airworthiness directives and maintenance planning to the discipline of going no-go on your own aeroplane.

I’m looking for the right route into commercial operations and I’m not precious about starting at the bottom of it.
