With over a decade of aviation experience as a military rotary wing pilot in the Hawaii Army National Guard (HIARNG), including combat aviation deployments, supporting multinational military exercises, commanding HIARNG’s first MEDEVAC detachment, coordination of aviation assets in response to state emergency response in collaboration with county and state agencies, my leadership, airmanship, and personal qualities make me adept at integrating into a demanding, high-paced aviation enterprise.
I began my aviation career in 2011 as a pilot of the UH-60M Blackhawk and have since accumulated operational experience in both domestic and international airspace. My first aviation deployment in 2011 was in support of Operation New Dawn, flying out of Kuwait, where I garnered invaluable experience in navigating degraded visual environments, executing low-altitude flights, and operating under low-illumination conditions. In 2013, I had the privilege of flying in Indonesia, where I supported the bilateral military exercise, Garuda Shield, further expanding my international operational expertise. In 2018, I was honored to lead the HIARNG’s first MEDEVAC unit in combat, supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. This deployment took me across Iraq, Kuwait, and Syria, where I flew and commanded critical MEDEVAC missions as Air Mission Commander. These diverse experiences have refined my ability to remain composed under pressure, make critical and timely decisions, and effectively execute complex aviation missions in high-stress environments.
Throughout my career as a Soldier in the United States Army, I have harnessed and honed my values of discipline, reliability, safety, and commitment to mission readiness—principles that I believe align well with commercial flight operations commitment of providing safe, efficient, aviation services in the Pacific region. I am eager to apply my skills in the cockpit, my leadership and aviation operations expertise to the success and growth of the company.
