I started flying at 16 and got my license at 17.

At 25, I bought an Cherokee 180 and flew all the way to Cape Horn on the Atlantic side, then back north along the Andes and around the central area of South America. In May 1996, I crossed the Atlantic, for which I had to get my IFR rating. I took advantage of that time to get my commercial license. I then flew around Europe.

Back in the US, I traveled around the States and Mexico over the years.

I have built a career in software while flying around, mainly doing long trips.

At this time, I am interested in switching activity and slowing down on the software side, while flying more in a commercial environment.

MS Aeronautics and Astronautics 09/1996 - 06/1997 After buying my Piper Cherokee 180 and traveling for 9 months over 35 countries in the Americas and Europe, I was received into the program. I graduated from the Master's Degree in 9 months and was invited back for the PhD. I worked in software in the Silicon Valley for many years and continued flying around the country and internationally for pleasure. I got my CFII rating in the year 2000. I prepared for the MEL license, but even though I passed the exam, the examiner and I agreed on not giving it to me because I only had 3 hours of actual flight time in a twin. In 2018, I added the seaplane license, which was a lot of fun!
