The Captain supports seasonal Air Attack operations for wildfire suppression on Aero Commander 500 family aircraft in Safford, United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Air Attack operations for wildfire suppression

Requirements

• Total time 1500 hours
• PIC time 1200 hours
• Multi-engine 200 hours
• Type rating Not required (Training Provided)
• Requirements are set by the US Forest Service and are non-negotiable
• 500 hours Cross country
• 200 hours Mountainous terrain (Mountainous terrain as defined in the Aeronautical Information Manual, Figure 5-6-2)
• 100 hours Night
• 50 hours Instrument – in flight
• 75 hours Instrument – actual/simulated
• 100 hours Fixed wing in past 12 months
• CPL, IR, ME
• FAA
• Class 1
