Position Summary

The Temporary Flight Instructor (CFII) is responsible for providing flight instruction to aviation students while supporting training operations and maintaining FAA compliance within a university flight training environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight instruction to aviation students
• Manage and schedule student flight lessons
• Maintain standardized training records and documentation
• Assist faculty, staff, and students within the flight department
• Support ramp operations and aircraft positioning
• Recommend students for FAA practical tests
• Perform additional duties to support campus operations

Requirements

• CFII Certificate
• Current Second Class Medical
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to meet FAA approval standards
• Strong attention to FAA regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• MEI
• Prior instructional experience
• Familiarity with university aviation programs
