Position Summary

The Q400 Pilot supports domestic flight operations requirements for ConocoPhillips based in Anchorage, AK.

This role serves as a pilot of company Q400 aircraft in support of Alaska operations.


Responsibilities
  • Safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operations of company aircraft
  • Operating aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and ConocoPhillips Aviation Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintaining preparedness to proficiently operate as second-in-command, including being available with 1 hour’s notice for Standby duty, when assigned
  • Maintaining the ability to readily adapt to changing schedules
  • Planning flights, selecting the safest and most efficient routes, providing for contingencies, and developing alternative flight plan routes
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and interpreting weather/NOTAMs
  • Utilizing a Flight Risk Assessment Tool to assess and mitigate risk
  • Performing aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspections
  • Determining appropriate fuel loads
  • Determining the accurate loading of passengers, baggage, and cargo
  • Calculating/solving weight and balance problems
  • Completing records and appropriate entries in aircraft logbooks/operations forms
  • Being proactive/able to work effectively and efficiently, without direct supervision
  • Providing team leadership and promoting teamwork within the aviation department
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Current/valid driver’s license
  • Commercial Pilot FAA Certificate, multi-engine land rating
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certification
  • Minimum 2,500 hours total flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 750 hours multiengine airplane flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 1,500 hours PIC airplane flight time completed/logged
  • Minimum 500 hours multiengine PIC airplane flight time completed/logged
  • 5 or more years of aviation experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous aviation flight experience (air/land) north of latitude 66° 33’ 39” (Arctic)
  • Previous experience in commercial flight operations within the State of Alaska
  • Previous experience with unpaved runways in commercial flight operations
  • Ability to lead and develop a seamless rapport with the pilots and other members of the department’s team
  • Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people/environment
