Position Summary
The Temporary Flight Instructor (CFII) is responsible for providing flight instruction to aviation students while supporting training operations and maintaining FAA compliance within a university flight training environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide flight instruction to aviation students
- Manage and schedule student flight lessons
- Maintain standardized training records and documentation
- Assist faculty, staff, and students within the flight department
- Support ramp operations and aircraft positioning
- Recommend students for FAA practical tests
- Perform additional duties to support campus operations
Requirements
- CFII Certificate
- Current Second Class Medical
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to meet FAA approval standards
- Strong attention to FAA regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- MEI
- Prior instructional experience
- Familiarity with university aviation programs
