Position Summary

The Senior Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII/MEI) is responsible for training students across multiple certification levels, ensuring high pass rates, maintaining standardization, and supporting both flight and ground instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight and ground instruction to full-time and part-time students
• Instruct all levels of CFI applicants
• Complete initial and recurrent instructor standardization (FAR 141)
• Ensure students are scheduled for stage checks in a timely manner
• Maintain training records and daily activity schedules
• Support student success and FAA checkride preparation
• Complete evaluation flights and line checks as required
• Perform additional duties assigned by Program Manager or Chief Instructor

Requirements

• Commercial Pilot Certificate
• CFI, CFII, and MEI certifications
• Approximately 1000 hours of dual given (last two years)
• Minimum two (2) years flight instructing experience
• Experience in single engine, multi engine, and instrument instruction
• 80% FAA checkride pass rate (including CFIs)
• First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• Meet recency requirements under FAR 61.57
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to pass company written exam and flight test

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive Part 141 experience
