Position Summary
The Flight Instructor/Pilot is responsible for providing instruction and operating the Epic E1000, supporting training, corporate missions, and post-maintenance flights. This role combines instruction with operational flying in a high-performance turboprop environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide initial and recurrent ground and flight instruction to E1000 pilots
• Serve as Pilot in Command for corporate missions, ferry, repositioning, and post-maintenance flights
• Conduct all phases of flight safely while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Perform preflight planning including weather and operational assessments
• Maintain communication with clients before and after training events
• Complete all required documentation and reporting
• Maintain deep aircraft knowledge and represent the company professionally
• Work a full-time schedule (M–F 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with occasional weekends or event support
Requirements
• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI and CFII)
• Commercial Pilot Certificate (ASEL, Instrument)
• 1,500 total flight hours
• 750 hours dual given
• Current 1st or 2nd Class Medical
• IFR current
• Valid U.S. passport
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
• Turbine aircraft experience (IFR, IMC, mountain flying)
• Experience in Part 141, 142, military, or GA instruction
• Experience with advanced avionics (G1000 NXi)
• Corporate flight experience
• Simulator or training device instruction experience
