Captain | Gulfstream G800

Position Summary

The Gulfstream G800 Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an ultra-long-range business jet supporting international and VIP Corporate flight operations. The position requires strong command leadership, operational judgment, and coordination with flight and cabin crew while maintaining high standards of safety and passenger service.

Schedule

• Approximately 250 flight hours per year.
• Flexible working schedules.
• Extensive international travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot in Command of the Gulfstream G800.
• Maintain responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo.
• Conduct flights in accordance with applicable regulations, operating manuals, SOPs, and aircraft limitations.
• Complete required flight planning, navigation, fuel planning, and operational procedures.
• Maintain appropriate fuel reserves throughout each flight.
• Lead and coordinate the flight crew using effective Crew Resource Management practices.
• Coordinate with cabin crew regarding passenger and cabin safety requirements.
• Ensure required passenger safety briefings and emergency procedures are completed.
• Complete required flight, technical, and operational documentation.
• Report incidents, occurrences, and operational matters as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable aviation regulations and international operating requirements.
• Provide professional and discreet service during VIP operations.

Requirements

• Valid FAA, UK CAA, EASA, or equivalent Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Previous experience as a Captain on business jets or other relevant aircraft.
• Strong understanding of Crew Resource Management (CRM) and business aviation operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a demanding international environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Gulfstream G800 type rating.
• Previous Gulfstream experience.
• International and/or VIP aviation experience.
