Lead Captain | Gulfstream GV

Position Summary

The Lead Captain serves as Pilot-in-Command of the Gulfstream GV on domestic and international flights in a Part 91 private aviation operation, leading and mentoring First Officers while delivering safe, high-quality service.

Schedule

• Full-time; flexible availability for extended trips, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command of the Gulfstream GV on domestic and international flights.
• Perform pre-flight planning, including weather analysis and route optimization.
• Lead and mentor First Officers.
• Maintain safety compliance and participate in the SMS.
• Represent the company through professional customer service.
• Complete flight documentation and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Gulfstream G-V type rating.
• Current First Class Medical Certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• 4,000 total flight hours.
• 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command turbine.
• 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command multi-engine jet.
• 500 hours Pilot-in-Command in the Gulfstream GV.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
• Reside within a 3-hour commute of Austin, or willing to relocate.
